Bidding Tips
There are a lot of things to consider when buying a Laptop, or anything for that matter, online. There's always the question of who are you dealing with? Is the seller honest? Is that Laptop really as nice as the picture shows it? Or is it a story that I'm being told just so I'll buy. There are ways to know.
The most important thing to remember is that you have to do your homework. You have to know exactly how much the Laptop is worth, according to it's overall condition (which should be new), brand, model, etc. Without this knowledge you would be guessing at what you're getting.
By buying, and bidding, we can know who we are buying from. The seller usually has a rating that tells you exactly how he treated other buyers and how satisfied they were with the Laptop received. He's probably going to treat you the same way, so this is a good yard stick to know exactly whether the person you are purchasing from is an honest seller or not.
Some things you should do, or know, before bidding on a Laptop.
*Know the sellers feedback. Has he treated previous buyers well?
*If you have questions make sure you ask them 24 hours before the end of the auction. This will give the seller plenty of time to respond. If they don't respond within a timely manner and the questions will impact whether you will bid or not, then don't bid. If you have questions that aren't answered then you will probably be unpleasantly surprised after the auction. Always work things out before the end, just so there's no misunderstandings after you have committed to the purchase. It stinks to have to pay for something that isn't exactly what you want! It's your responsibility to make sure the item is really what you want.
*Know exactly how much the Laptop is worth, and how much you will pay. These two numbers may not be the same. Hopefully, your number to pay will be much lower than what the Laptop is worth.
*Know exactly what delivery charges will be for the Laptop and how they it be delivered, or how you wil pick it up.
*Bidding is bidding, no matter what you're bidding on, so make sure you know all the rules. Look here for bidding rules.
